We here at Tom Hardy Party couldn’t help but notice an addition to Tom’s Madonna and child tattoo in the new photos of him arriving at LAX.
While we’re not certain, we’ve come to the conclusion that it is the London skyline. According to an article about Tom’s Vancouver tattoo artist in the Globe and Mail,
“ In addition to the Madonna and child and the Union Jack, he is planning a large tattoo on his back: an angel-themed portrait based on a photograph he took of his fiancée, Charlotte Riley, which will float above a rendering of the London skyline.”
Here you can see what could be the London bridge, and the Eye of London ferris wheel, and some clouds or fog.
It’s also possible that he’s gotten the tattoo of Charlotte sleeping on his side, as you can see here in a set photo from Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy (he also had the possible skyline tattoo at this point, we just didn’t notice it until now):
This photo was also included in the Globe and Mail article :
It looks like a feather with something written under it. The feather could be a nod to the Brett C. Leonard play Tom starred in, The Long Red Road. ETA: Thanks to our commenter who says the feather is a quill with the word “Skribe” underneath, for his Candy Chops and Kickapoo Dust writing partner Kelly Marcel.
What do you guys think? Is it the skyline or not?

The feather tattoo is a writer’s quill and it says skribe (meaning writer and normally spelled scribe) – but he’s spelled it with a K instead of a C for Kelly. The tat is a tribute to her.
