Tom Hardy Party!
Everyone's invited.
Tom Hardy and Charlotte Riley not involved in “The C-Word” Movie
Categories: Uncategorized

Although it would be lovely, the rumors of Tom and Charlotte’s involvement in an BBC adaptation of the novel appear to be false.

Here’s why:

In September of 2010, the Observer UK printed this quote in an article about a book called  ”The C-Word: Just Your Average 28-year old..Friends, Family, Facebook, Cancer.”

“`An amazing book and blog about the author’s journey through breast cancer. My fiancée (actress Charlotte Riley) and I are turning it into a BBC film. I’m looking forward to working on such a wonderful story’ — Tom Hardy”

The following week a retraction was issued in the “For The Record” section of the magazine:

“neither Tom Hardy or Charlotte Reilly are confirmed for or are involved in the BBC production of The C-Word.”

The quote still appears on the book’s Amazon.com product description page.

We at THP have been seeing this rumor flying around, and we wanted to dispel it. Here’s to Tom and Charlotte and the many exciting projects we look forward to seeing them in!
